History
Shirakamidake-Tozanguchi Station is an unstaffed JR East Gonō Line stop in the town of Fukaura, Aomori Prefecture, 42.3 kilometres from the line's terminus at Higashi-Noshiro. It opened on 1 June 1952 as Mutsu-Kurosaki Station on the Japanese National Railways. At the 1 April 1987 JNR break-up the station passed to JR East. It was renamed Shirakamidake-Tozanguchi — literally "Mt Shirakami Trailhead" — on 2 December 2000 as part of a broader effort to reposition the Gonō Line as a tourism route. The station has a single side platform with no passing facility; it is managed from Goshogawara Station as part of the Hirosaki area.

Notes
The station was renamed from the older Mutsu-Kurosaki name on 2 December 2000 specifically to reposition the Gonō Line as a tourism route to the Shirakami-Sanchi mountains.
