History
Ikarigaseki Station is on JR East's Ōu Main Line in Hirakawa, Aomori Prefecture. It opened on 21 October 1895 as a station of the government railways and was unstaffed under a simple commission from 1 April 1984; with privatisation on 1 April 1987 it came under JR East. The station became a stop on the new rapid services launched on 26 March 2016, and "Tsugaru" limited expresses also call here. The wooden station building retains a waiting room decorated with hiba-wood log seats and displays of D51 1, D51 401, and a painting of C61 2.
