History
The provisional station name was announced in October 2000 and construction began in 2007. The final station name was confirmed on 24 December 2013, and Yakushido Station opened on 6 December 2015 with the rest of the Sendai Subway Tōzai Line, station number T10. A Seven Bank ATM was installed on 28 September 2019. The auxiliary station name "Seiwa Gakuen Mae" remained in use through 31 March 2025.
