History
Nanatsugatake-Tozanguchi Station opened on 8 November 1953 as Itozawa Station (糸沢駅) on the JNR Aizu Line, serving present-day Minamiaizu town in Fukushima. Freight handling ended in March 1963 and parcels in September 1965, at which point the station was destaffed. With the 1987 JNR privatization it briefly came under JR East, then on 16 July 1987 was transferred together with the rest of the line between Nishi-Wakamatsu and Aizukōgen-Ozeguchi to the third-sector Aizu Railway and renamed Nanatsugatake-Tozanguchi. From the 12 March 2022 timetable revision the Limited Express Revaty Aizu ceased stopping here.
