It is the nearest station to the Kawaji hot-spring town and is located 6.0 km from the line's southern end at Shin-Fujiwara. The single elevated side platform serves traffic in both directions, with the station building set beneath it. The station is staffed during daytime, with tickets sold for Yagan, Tōbu, Aizu Railway and through-services as far as Aizu-Wakamatsu.
