History

Ogino Station is a Manyosen Takaoka Kidō Line tram stop in Ogino, Takaoka, Toyama, immediately adjacent to the Zeon Corporation Takaoka Plant. It opened on 10 April 1948 as a Toyama Chihō Railway intermediate stop, passed to Kaetsunō Railway on 1 April 1959, and to Manyosen on 1 April 2002. Shelters and ramps were added in December 2010 for accessibility. From 1 May 2020, Nippon Zeon bought naming rights and the stop is also signed "Zeon Ogino". Until 2004, a private freight line of Nippon Zeon's Takaoka Plant and the Nippon Soda Takaoka Plant crossed the Manyosen tracks here at grade.
