History
Denki-Building-mae Station is on the Toyama Chihō Railway Toyama-gun-dōsen Honsen (main tram line) in Sakurabashi-dōri, Toyama, with station number C12. The stop opened around 1934 as Sakurabashi-Kitazume Stop of the Toyama Municipal Tramway when the line between Sakurabashi, Toyama-eki-mae and Sōgawa was rerouted. On 15 April 1936 the Miyashita Line opened between Sakurabashi-Kitazume and Sekijūji-Byōin-kado. On 11 September 1937, after the Toyama Electric Building was completed on the reclaimed former Jinzū riverbed and the stop was at its north entrance, the building company contracted with Toyama City to pay 40 yen a month to rename the stop Denki-Building-mae. The line passed to Toyama Chihō Railway on 1 January 1943; the Miyashita Line was closed in 1964 with the realignment of the Tōbu Line.

Notes
Denki-Building-mae owes its current name to a 1937 contract under which the Toyama Electric Building company paid Toyama City 40 yen a month to rename the stop after the building, then newly completed on the reclaimed former Jinzū riverbed.
