History
Minami-Toyama-eki-mae Station (C01) is a Toyama Chihō Railway Toyama-tramway terminus in Ōmachi, Toyama City, immediately adjoining Minami-Toyama Station (the rail interchange for the Fujikoshi and Kamidaki Lines). The tram stop opened on 13 March 1915 as Horikawa-Shin-eki-mae Station on the Toyama Electric Tramway, was transferred to the Toyama City Tramway on 1 July 1920, joined Toyama Chihō Railway on 1 January 1943, and was renamed Minami-Toyama-eki-mae on 11 June 1943. It was suspended by the Toyama Air Raid on 2 August 1945 and the Main Line was reopened on 14 January 1946. The line between this stop and Minami-Koizumi was double-tracked on 20 March 1960.
