History
Shinano-Yoshida Station opened on 28 June 1926 as Yoshidachō Station on the Nagano Electric Railway's then-new Nagano Line, and was renamed to its current form on 5 October 1926. Freight work ended on 21 October 1964 and parcel handling on 1 April 1968. After installation of a footbridge in December 1973 the level crossing within the station was withdrawn. The station was reclassified from a stop to a halt in December 1984. A new elevated station building opened on 1 April 1997, linked to the Norute Nagano redevelopment building by a pedestrian deck. The stop carries the line number N7.
