History
Niregi Station opened on 1 April 1929 on the Tobu Nikko Line in the city of Kanuma, Tochigi. Staffing was withdrawn on 1 September 1973, and the station has been unstaffed since. As part of system-wide changes on 17 March 2012, Tobu introduced station numbering across its network, assigning Niregi the code TN-16. The station has a single island platform serving two tracks, connected to the station building by a footbridge, and sits 61.2 kilometres from the line's starting point at Tōbu-Dōbutsu-Kōen.
