History

Shin-Koga Station opened on 21 July 1935 on the Tōbu Nikkō Line, 20.6 kilometres from the line's starting point at Tōbu-Dōbutsu-Kōen. It sits in the city of Kazo, Saitama, despite the "Koga" in its name referring to the city across the Tone River. The station has two opposed side platforms linked by a footbridge, and station numbering across the Tōbu network on 17 March 2012 designated it TN-05.
