History
Kita-Kōnosu Station opened on 3 November 1984 as a Japanese National Railways station on the Takasaki Line, 24.3 kilometres from the line's nominal starting point at Ōmiya. With the breakup and privatisation of JNR on 1 April 1987, the station passed to East Japan Railway Company. The station has a single island platform serving two tracks, with an elevated station building above the platforms; through services on the Shōnan-Shinjuku Line and the Ueno-Tokyo Line continue onto the Tōkaidō Line. In fiscal 2019 the station averaged 7,224 boarding passengers a day, drawn primarily from the Akamidai residential district.
