History

Musashi-Ranzan Station opened on 5 November 1923 as Sugaya Station on the Tobu Tojo Line in what is now Ranzan, Saitama. The stop was renamed Musashi-Ranzan on 1 October 1935. An over-track concourse linking the western and eastern exits was completed on 30 May 1990, and the station was rebuilt as a footbridge facility on 26 March 2002 when double-tracking from Shinrin-koen reached the station. Double-tracking was extended a further three kilometres in March 2005. Station numbering TJ-32 was introduced on 17 March 2012 when numbering came in across the Tojo Line.

Notes

A disused side platform remains on the western side of the down track, a remnant of the original three-track layout retained when the station was rebuilt above the line in 2002.
