History
Uchijuku Station opened on 1990-08-22 as the terminus of the Saitama New Urban Transit Ina Line (New Shuttle) in Ina, Kita-Adachi-gun, Saitama. Because of land-acquisition disputes, full opening of the line lagged behind the first stage between Ōmiya and Hanuki; the planning name had been Kobari Station before construction. The Suica IC card became usable on 2007-03-18, and lifts were installed on 2007-12-12. On 2010-07-17, following the previous day's land readjustment under the Ina land-reorganisation project, the station's address was updated to 3-chōme Uchijuku-dai. It is an elevated station with a single island platform and two tracks, and carries station code NS13.

Notes
The delay in opening the Hanuki–Uchijuku section was caused by an opposition campaign from local residents along the route; in the end, expropriation under the Land Expropriation Act and administrative execution were used to secure the land.
