History
Kawama Station opened on 1 October 1930 on the Tobu Noda Line in what is now the city of Noda, Chiba Prefecture, operated by Tōbu Railway. The station consists of an island platform serving two tracks, connected to the station building by an underground passage. On 17 March 2012 the Tobu Noda Line introduced station numbering and Kawama was designated TD-13. From 1 April 2014 the Tobu Noda Line was rebranded as the Tobu Urban Park Line, though the official Noda Line designation remains. The 62.7 km line links Ōmiya in Saitama Prefecture with Funabashi in Chiba Prefecture; Kawama lies 22.9 km from the western terminus at Ōmiya.
