History
Yagisaki Station opened on 17 November 1929 as a stop on the Hokusō Railway's new Kasukabe (then Kasukabe粕壁)–Ōmiya extension; the operator was renamed Sōbu Railway just five days later. It passed to Tōbu Railway on 1 March 1944 under the wartime transport-rationalisation merger. The Kasukabe–Higashi-Iwatsuki section was doubled-tracked through Yagisaki on 19 October 2004, and departure melodies were introduced on 10 March 2009, the same year ticketing duties were outsourced to Tōbu Station Services. From the 21 April 2017 timetable revision, the Urban Park Liner limited-express began stopping at the station, but only for services departing from Asakusa.
