History
Miyaki Station opened on 28 December 1909 in the town of Tatsuno, Kamiina District, Nagano Prefecture, as a stop on what is now the Iida Line. With the privatisation of Japanese National Railways on 1 April 1987 the station came under the control of Central Japan Railway Company (JR Central). It consists of a single ground-level side platform serving one bi-directional track, with only a shelter built on the platform; the station is unattended. Miyaki lies 194.6 kilometres from the southern terminus of the Iida Line at Toyohashi Station, one stop south of the JR East / JR Central interchange at Tatsuno.
