History
Shin-Toride Station opened on 1 April 1968 on the Kantō Railway Jōsō Line, in the city of Toride, Ibaraki Prefecture. The double-tracking of the section between Terahara and Minami-Moriya, which includes this station, was completed in December 1982. The station building was rebuilt in December 2003, and PASMO IC card acceptance began on 14 March 2009. Originally staffed, it became partially unstaffed in September 2010 and entirely unstaffed from 16 May 2013. The station has a single island platform serving two tracks and lies 3.4 km north of Toride along the Jōsō Line.

Notes
The district name "Shin-Toride" was assigned to the surrounding neighbourhood in 1981, after the station — the place name derives from the station, not the other way around.
