History
Nagareyama-centralpark Station opened on 24 August 2005 in Nagareyama, Chiba, as part of the inaugural Tsukuba Express line operated by the Metropolitan Intercity Railway Company. Its working title was "Nagareyama Athletic Park Station" after the adjacent Nagareyama General Athletic Park, the leading choice in a 2002 public survey. In August 2003 Nagareyama City proposed the rebranded name "Nagareyama-centralpark" — selected as an aspirational reference to the park and the developing neighbourhood, although no park of that name actually exists. PASMO IC card service began on 18 March 2007. The station is numbered TX11.

Notes
There is no "Central Park" actually named as such near the station — the city adopted the English-sounding name as a branding move to give the new neighbourhood an upmarket image.
