History
Kioroshi Station opened on 1 April 1901 as a combined passenger and freight stop on the original Narita Railway, between Anjiki and Abiko. The Narita Railway was nationalised on 1 September 1920, making Kioroshi part of the Japanese Government Railways and later the Japan National Railways. Scheduled freight handling ended on 1 October 1974, and the station passed to JR East at the privatisation of JNR on 1 April 1987. Suica use began on 18 November 2001. A new elevated station building and free passage replaced the old wooden depot on 17 December 2008, and the Midori-no-Madoguchi ticket office closed on 11 March 2024.

Notes
The wooden footbridge between platforms in use until 2008 had originally served Narita Station from 1935 — nearly 73 years of duty before being retired.
