History

Mizuhodai Station opened on 21 October 1977 as a Tōbu Tōjō Line station serving the city of Fujimi in Saitama Prefecture, 20.6 km from the line's Ikebukuro terminus. The station has a single elevated island platform serving two tracks, with the concourse and station building tucked underneath, and only Semi Express and Local trains call. Through-running to Shibuya via the Tokyo Metro Fukutoshin Line began on 14 June 2008, and station numbering introduced on 17 March 2012 made it "TJ-16". Through-running was extended on 16 March 2013 to Yokohama and Motomachi-Chūkagai via the Tōkyū Tōyoko Line and Minatomirai Line, and further extended on 18 March 2023 via the Tōkyū Shin-Yokohama Line and Sōtetsu network to Shin-Yokohama and Shōnandai.
