History
Shin-Kashiwa Station opened on 21 July 1983 on the Tōbu Noda Line (now the Tōbu Urban Park Line) at Shin-Kashiwa 1-chōme, Kashiwa, Chiba Prefecture. Before opening, the local working name was "Nadogaya Station" after the older district name to the east, but the area was renamed Shin-Kashiwa, so the present name was adopted. Station numbering on 17 March 2012 assigned the code TD 25. An elevator was added in March 2011, and from July 2022 the station underwent a major Tōbu refresh that touched the concourse, stairs, toilets and the area under the elevated tracks. The EQUiA Shin-Kashiwa retail facility opened on 18 November 2022, and fixed platform-edge barriers were installed in July 2023.

Notes
Until renamed during construction, the station was locally known by the working name Nadogaya — the old district name still in use east of the tracks.
