History

Yanasegawa Station opened on 8 November 1979 as a Tōbu Tōjō Line stop serving the city of Shiki in Saitama Prefecture, 19.3 km from the line's Ikebukuro terminus, with a single elevated island platform serving two tracks and the station building below. Only Semi Express and Local services call. Through-running to Shibuya via the Tokyo Metro Fukutoshin Line started on 14 June 2008, station numbering introduced on 17 March 2012 made the stop "TJ-15", through-running was extended on 16 March 2013 to Yokohama and Motomachi-Chūkagai via the Tōkyū Tōyoko and Minatomirai lines, and on 18 March 2023 the service was extended further via the Tōkyū Shin-Yokohama and Sōtetsu networks to Shin-Yokohama and Shōnandai.
