History

The station opened as Eidan-Narimasu Station on 24 June 1983 when the Teito Rapid Transit Authority extended the Yūrakuchō Line west to a temporary terminus from Shintomichō. Civil works for the surrounding section had actually been finished in 1975 but stayed unused for eight years while construction of the rest of the line lagged. It became a through station when the line reached Wakōshi on 25 August 1987. Yūrakuchō New Line services, now the Fukutoshin Line, started here on 7 December 1994. The station was renamed Chikatetsu-Narimasu on 1 April 2004 when TRTA was privatised as Tokyo Metro. Platform-edge doors followed in October 2010.

Notes

Travel-card history printouts on PASMO and Suica abbreviate the station as 'Chika-Narimasu' (地下成増).
