History
Keisei Koiwa Station opened on 15 May 1932 on the Keisei Main Line with two side platforms serving two tracks. The northernmost station in Edogawa ward, it was rebuilt on 5 December 1963 as a four-track ground-level layout with two island platforms and an overhead concourse, providing the passing loops that still let limited expresses skip the stop while local services hold for connections. Station numbering across the Keisei network on 17 June 2010 assigned this stop the code KS11. A continuous grade-separation project is now planned for the surrounding section of line.
