History
Sakuradai Station opened on 10 July 1936 on the Seibu Ikebukuro Line in Nerima, Tokyo. It was temporarily closed on 3 February 1945 during the wartime contraction of services, then reopened on 1 April 1948 once peacetime operations resumed. Only all-stations local services stop at the station, which sits 5.2 km from the Ikebukuro terminus. As part of a network-wide station-numbering rollout during fiscal 2012, the stop was assigned the code SI05. The station has a single elevated island platform serving two tracks.

Notes
A namesake Sakuradai Station also exists in Fukuoka, so the Tokyo one is routinely disambiguated by prefecture in timetables.
