History
Kurahashi Station opened on 1 June 1960 as a passenger-only stop on the Sōbu Main Line in the city of Asahi, Chiba Prefecture. The station became part of JR East with the 1 April 1987 privatisation of Japanese National Railways. A new station building was completed in December 2008. The station sits 109.2 km from the western terminus of the Sōbu Main Line at Tokyo Station, has a single side platform serving bi-directional traffic, and is unattended.
