History
Narashino Station opened on 8 October 1948 on the Shin-Keisei Electric Railway in Funabashi, Chiba. The station name traces back to the broader Narashinohara district that housed the Imperial Army's Narashino drill ground, the same name later attached to neighbouring military facilities and absorbed into the area's modern usage. Station numbering SL20 was applied in February 2014. On 1 April 2025 the Shin-Keisei merger took effect: the line was rebranded the Keisei Matsudo Line, and the stop was renumbered KS69 under Keisei Electric Railway's network. The depot sits on opposed side platforms linked by a footbridge, and is operated unstaffed from 22:00 to 07:00 with intercoms connecting to Shin-Tsudanuma Station.

Notes
Several origin stories for the place name circulate, including one in which Emperor Meiji praised a soldier during a review with the phrase "minarai shi no" — "see and learn from".
