History
Omokagebashi Station (SA 29) is a Tokyo Toden Arakawa Line stop in Nishi-Waseda 3-chōme, Shinjuku, Tokyo. It opened on 25 December 1928 as the new terminus of the Ōji Electric Tramway's extension from Kishibojin-mae. On 30 March 1930 the line was further extended to Waseda. The stop became part of the Tokyo City Tram Wasada Line (today's Arakawa Line) on 1 February 1942 when Ōji Electric was absorbed by Tokyo City. The defunct Totsuka Line (used by Route 15 to Kayabachō) connected here from 1 December 1949 until its closure on 29 September 1968. The tracks and platforms now sit on the median of the widened Shin-Mejiro-dōri (Metropolitan Route 8) and have two opposed platforms either side of the Omokagebashi intersection.

Notes
The stop is named after Omokage Bridge across the Kanda River — its existence dates to the Edo period, when it spanned the path to a stone marker honouring Ōta Dōkan's 'yamabuki' (mountain rose) legend.
