History

Mitakadai Station is a passenger railway station in Mitaka, Tokyo, on Keio Corporation's 12.7 km Inokashira Line connecting Shibuya with Kichijōji. The station sits 11.2 km from the Shibuya terminus, between Kugayama and Inokashira-kōen. It opened on 1 August 1933 under the Inokashira Line's original operator and has since remained an all-stations Local stop, with eight trains per hour in each direction during the day. The station consists of two ground-level side platforms with the station building above and elevators serving the concourse and platforms. Keio introduced system-wide station numbering on 22 February 2013, when Mitakadai became IN15.

Notes

The station building straddles the tracks on a footbridge above the Kanda River, and the river also passes directly under the tracks just east of the platform.
