History

Nakano-fujimicho Station is a Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line subway stop in Nakano, Tokyo, numbered Mb-04. It sits on the line's 3.2 km Hōnanchō branch, 1.9 km from the junction at Nakano-sakaue. The station opened on 8 February 1961 as part of the original branch construction. The station has two side platforms serving two tracks on basement level 1. Because the Tokyo Metro Nakano Maintenance Depot lies just south of the station, some peak-hour six-car services to and from Ikebukuro on the main line begin or terminate here, in addition to the daytime three-car shuttles that serve the branch. Operations passed to Tokyo Metro after the privatisation of the Teito Rapid Transit Authority in 2004.

Notes

Because the Tokyo Metro Nakano Maintenance Depot sits immediately south of the platforms, Nakano-fujimichō functions as a start- and end-point for peak-hour through-trains to Ikebukuro.
