History
Ichinoe Station opened on 14 September 1986 as part of the Toei Shinjuku Line's extension from Funabori to Shinozaki, completing the line's run east through Edogawa. The single island platform sits underground southeast of the Imai-kaidō (Tokyo Metropolitan Route 50) and Kannana-dōri (Route 318) intersection, with the eastern side topped by the Tōkyō Kōtsū Kaikan Ichinoe building. During planning the working name was Harue, taken from the district's then-address Harue-chō; the Harue address itself was reassigned on 6 November 2006 to the present Ichinoe address. PASMO support began on 18 March 2007, and the station is operated as a contract station under the Bakuro Station Administration Office.

Notes
The working name during construction was "Harue," after the district's then-current address, but the station opened in 1986 as Ichinoe — and the Harue address itself was reorganised away in 2006.
