History
Takaido Station opened on 1 August 1933 as a stop on the Keiō Inokashira Line in Suginami, Tokyo. The original ground-level station was rebuilt as an elevated structure and reopened on 15 March 1972, with the Keio Retnade shopping centre placed in the space underneath; that retail facility was renovated and reopened in December 2006. Keiō introduced system-wide station numbering on 22 February 2013 and the stop was assigned the number IN12. The single elevated island platform serves two tracks. Only all-stations "Local" services call here; during daytime hours eight trains per hour stop in each direction.
