History
Sangūbashi Station is an Odakyū Electric Railway Odawara Line stop in Yoyogi 4-chōme, Shibuya ward, Tokyo, numbered OH 03. It opened on 1 April 1927 along the original Odawara Line route, with another stop named Yamatani sitting between Sangūbashi and Minami-Shinjuku from opening day until 31 May 1946. Odakyū station numbering reached the station in January 2014. From November 2018 to November 2020 the building was rebuilt under the theme of "a wooded gateway in harmony with trees and greenery" — the canopy adopted shrine-architecture folded-plate roofing, and Tama-area-grown cedar was used for lattice and trim — to better fit the station's role as the entrance to Meiji Shrine. An IC-card-only east exit opened on 19 September 2020.

Notes
The platform setting at the heart of Robico's manga "Our Precious Conversations" was modelled on Sangūbashi's pre-2020 station building, appearing repeatedly across the original comic, its OVA adaptation, and tie-in video games.
