History
Roka-kōen Station opened on 15 April 1913 as Kami-Takaido Station, a stop on the new Keiō Electric Tramway. It was renamed Roka-kōen on 1 September 1937 in honour of the novelist Tokutomi Roka and his nearby home, Roka Kōshun-en. Wartime consolidation routed it through Greater Tokyu in May 1944, and the spun-off Keio Teito Electric Railway took over in June 1948. The platforms were rebuilt and lengthened to 115 metres in December 1965 with a new south entrance, an underground concourse arrived in March 1982, and an overhead concourse opened in September 2010. Continuous grade-separation works began on 28 February 2014.

Notes
Although the station carries the park's name, neighbouring Hachimanyama Station is actually marginally closer to Roka Kōshun-en itself.
