History

Gōtokuji Station is an elevated stop on the Odakyu Odawara Line in Setagaya, Tokyo, operated by Odakyū Electric Railway. Wikidata records the opening as 1 April 1927, the year the Odawara Line first ran through this corner of Setagaya. The station was extensively reconfigured in 2004 when this section of the Odawara Line was quadrupled: prior to that, the layout was two tracks and two side platforms, and the upgrade gave the station four tracks with two side platforms, the two outer tracks serving local trains while express services typically bypass the station on the inner pair. Odakyu introduced system-wide station numbering in 2014, assigning Gōtokuji the code OH10.
