History

Odaiba-Kaihinkōen Station opened on 1 November 1995 on the Yurikamome line, the Tōkyō Waterfront New Transit Waterfront Line. The provisional name during construction was Kaijō-Kōen. It is the first station reached after the line crosses Rainbow Bridge from the Shimbashi direction, set immediately next to Odaiba Marine Park. In 1998 the station was included in the second round of the Kantō Stations One Hundred Selection, cited for an exterior that integrates with the urban landscape and blends the historic and the new. The elevated station has a single island platform on two tracks, with a passing siding (used as a reversing track) toward Toyosu that is normally reserved for test runs and emergencies.
