History
Chishirodai Station opened on 28 March 1988 as the terminal of Line 2 of the Chiba Urban Monorail, located in Wakaba-ku, Chiba City. The elevated station, 12.0 kilometres from the northern terminus at Chiba Station and numbered CM15, has two opposed side platforms serving two tracks, although platform 1 is reserved for rush-hour use. PASMO acceptance began on 14 March 2009, an accessible toilet entered service on 4 June 2016, and a renovation to western-style fixtures was completed in March 2020. The area around the station has been developed as a planned residential community since the mid-1960s.
