History
Ōmoridai Station opened on 1 April 1992 as the initial southern terminus of the Chiba Kyūkō Line, in Chūō Ward, Chiba City. It is Chiba City's only fully underground railway station, although the approaches on either side are semi-underground. The line was extended to Chiharadai on 1 April 1995 and Ōmoridai became an intermediate stop. On 1 October 1998 Chiba Kyūkō transferred its railway operations to Keisei Electric Railway, after which the station became part of the Keisei Chihara Line. Station numbering — KS62 — was assigned in the system-wide rollout on 17 July 2010.
