History
Umeyashiki Station opened on 1 February 1901 on what is today the Keikyu Main Line, operated by Keihin Electric Express Railway (Keikyu) in Kamata, Ota, Tokyo, and is numbered KK10. At opening it was a stop on a roadway tramway, before being relocated onto a dedicated right-of-way on 1 April 1923. From April 1982, six-car local trains overran the short ground-level platform, requiring 'door-cut' operation for two cars at the Keikyu-Kamata end. The station was numbered KK10 on 21 October 2010 when Keikyu introduced station numbering. The up tracks were elevated on 16 May 2010, the down tracks followed on 21 October 2012, and platform doors entered service from 10 February 2024.

Notes
From April to October 2012 the approaching-train chime was an arrangement of SMAP's 'Sakasama no Sora,' the theme song of the NHK morning drama 'Umechan Sensei,' which was set in Ota Ward.
