History

Haneda Airport Terminal 1 Station opened on 27 September 1993 as Haneda Airport Station on the Tokyo Monorail Haneda Airport Line, replacing the original terminus that had served the old over-water terminal. Carrying the provisional name "New West Terminal Station" during construction, it was renamed Haneda Airport Terminal 1 Building Station on 1 December 2004 when a sister station opened for the new Terminal 2. Suica entered service on 21 April 2002, and on 14 March 2020 the station took its current name when Haneda's passenger terminals were rebranded. The underground station has one island platform and two tracks beneath the Terminal 1 basement.
