History
Tenkūbashi Station opened on 1 April 1993 as Haneda Station, replacing Keikyū's original 1956 Haneda Airport Station across the Ebitorigawa as the eastern terminus of the Airport Line. The pedestrian bridge over the river — chosen by public contest as Tenkūbashi, "Sky Bridge" — opened the same day, and the Tokyo Monorail joined the station on 27 September 1993 when its alignment was shifted south. When Keikyū extended through a tunnel to the new airport terminal on 18 November 1998, the older station was renamed Tenkūbashi to avoid confusion. PASMO became usable from 18 March 2007, and on 25 June 2020 the subtitle "Haneda Innovation City" was added ahead of that complex opening on 3 July 2020.

Notes
The 27 May 2010 web edition of R25 named Tenkūbashi — literally "Sky Bridge Station" — Japan's coolest station name.
