History
Suetsune Station serves the Fushino district of Tottori City on the San'in Main Line, 239.6 km from Kyoto. It opened on 11 September 1928 between Koyama and Hōgi as a successor to a seasonal summer halt that had been established in 1925 to serve the Hakuto bathing beach about 2 km to the west. The buildings and tracks were damaged in the 1943 Tottori earthquake, freight handling ran from 1947 to 1962, and the station was destaffed in 1972. It passed to JR West at privatisation on 1 April 1987 and gained ICOCA acceptance on 15 March 2025.

Notes
The station replaced an earlier summer-only halt called Hakuto, which had been opened in 1925 specifically to ferry bathers to the Hakuto beach about two kilometres west.
