History
Ōshinozuchō Station opened on 1 November 1987 as Misakiguchi Station (御崎口駅) on JR West's Sakai Line, between Wadahama and the original Ōshinozu (now Yonago Airport) Station; it was one of the first new stops added by JR West after privatisation that April. The station was renamed Ōshinozuchō on 15 June 2008 at local request, on the day Ōshinozu Station was relocated 800 m closer to the port and renamed Yonago Airport Station to accommodate the airport's runway extension. On 16 March 2019 IC card ICOCA service began via onboard readers. The station has a single side platform on the Sakaiminato-bound side, no station building, a small shelter, and is unstaffed. Like all Sakai Line stations it bears a yōkai nickname: "Sunakake-Babā Station."

Notes
All Sakai Line stations carry a yōkai-themed nickname, and Ōshinozuchō's is "Sunakake-Babā Station" after the sand-throwing spirit.
