History
Morera-Gifu Station opened on 21 April 2006 on the Tarumi Railway Tarumi Line, infilled between Kitagata-Makuwa and Itonuki to serve the large Malera Gifu shopping centre that opened on the former Tsuzuki Spinning Itonuki factory site on 29 April that year. Built under an agreement with Motosu city, the management company of Malera Gifu contributed roughly 60 million yen of the construction cost. Initial projections called for 70,000 annual users, but within a year ridership exceeded 100,000, and by fiscal 2013 the station accounted for 130,000 of the Tarumi Railway's 640,000 yearly passenger total. The station has a single 70-metre side platform with a waiting room and is unstaffed.

Notes
Although the shopping centre stylises its name MALera, the romanised station name on signage is MORERA — matching the Japanese reading rather than the commercial spelling.
