History
Hinodechō Station opened on 26 December 1931 as a connecting point built by Keihin Electric Railway, where it joined that operator's line with Shōnan Electric Railway to enable through-running between Yokohama and Yokosuka. From the 31 July 1999 timetable revision the station was downgraded to a local-only stop after express services on the southern Main Line and northern Zushi Line were withdrawn, but it regained limited-service patronage on 16 May 2010 when the newly created Airport Express began calling here. On 14 March 2020 a sub-name referencing the Nogeyama Zoo was added, and platform-edge doors entered service on 18 June 2022. The station serves Naka Ward, Yokohama and carries number KK39.
