History
Takadabashi Station opened on 21 January 1926 as a stop on the Kakamigahara Railway in what is now Gifu City. The operator merged into Meigi Railway on 28 March 1935 and was renamed Meitetsu (Nagoya Railroad) on 1 August that year. The station was suspended in 1944 and reopened on 15 September 1946 as an unattended stop. Tranpas was introduced on 16 December 2006, manaca on 11 February 2011, and Tranpas was withdrawn on 29 February 2012. The station has four-car-capable opposed side platforms, located 5.4 km from the line terminus at Meitetsu-Gifu.

Notes
Because the platforms straddle a river crossed by single-track parallel bridges, the up and down tracks at Takadabashi are unusually far apart, leaving a wide gap between the two platforms.
