History
Inuyamayūen Station opened on 2 May 1926 as Inuyamahashi Station on what is now the Meitetsu Inuyama Line, in the city of Inuyama, Aichi Prefecture. It was closed during the Second World War and reopened on 5 April 1949 before being renamed to its present form on 1 December of the same year. A new station building was completed in 1962. From 1962 the station also served as the boarding point for the Monkey Park Monorail, with the monorail platform built on the roof of platform 2; that service ended on 27 December 2008 and almost all of its infrastructure has since been removed. The station has two opposed side platforms connected by a level crossing and is unstaffed.

Only one section of monorail track and a single car remain from the dismantled Monkey Park Monorail, kept near its former Monkey Park terminus.
