History
Nōkendai Station is on the Keikyū Main Line in Kanazawa-ku, Yokohama, 37.4 km from the Shinagawa terminus. It opened on 10 May 1944 as Yatsuzaka Station, initially carrying materiel for nearby military factories before regular passenger service resumed after the war. In 1969 it was relocated and rebuilt as an elevated structure, and on 23 October 1982 it was shifted about 20 m further toward Sengakuji and given an overhead concourse. On 1 December 1982 it was renamed Nōkendai after the historic Nōken-dō scenic spot on the hill to the west, and a bus terminal was opened. The station was assigned number KK48 when Keikyū introduced station numbering on 21 October 2010.

Notes
The 1982 rename was triggered by passenger confusion with Yatsu-yūen (today's Yatsu) Station on the Keisei Main Line after through-services with the Toei Asakusa Line began in 1968.
