History
Fukuura Station opened on 5 July 1989, coinciding with the start of service on the Kanazawa Seaside Line between Shin-Sugita and Kanazawa-hakkei. The elevated station has a single island platform serving two tracks, with the station building beneath the platform. The station was the last on the Kanazawa Seaside Line without an elevator until lifts were installed between the platform and concourse in October 2010, and between the concourse and street level in December 2010. The station is unstaffed but is equipped with automated ticket machines and automatic fare gates.
